Lauren M. Sica

Lauren Sica is an accomplished paralegal contributing to Spruce Law’s commercial real estate, litigation, and corporate practices. Ms. Sica has over 10 years’ experience handling various real estate matters ranging from complex and sophisticated transactions to traditional purchases, sales, and real estate joint ventures across a diverse set of companies and financial institutions. Leveraging her organizational skills, Ms. Sica facilitates timely communication between all parties involved in a transaction so deals progress efficiently.

Specifically, as a member of Spruce Law’s unique Corporate Real Estate Strategies Practice (CRES), she assists with initial document preparation and maintains the firm’s robust database of active deals so that document “turn-times” can be managed, which drives overall efficiently into the transaction process.

Ms. Sica also assists with litigation matters, preparing pleadings, motions and orders, and conducting legal research. Ms. Sica also supports counsel in managing large scale document production, including maintaining document inventory databases and coordinating with vendors and third parties as appropriate.

Prior to joining Spruce Law, Ms. Sica worked at the Law Office of William J. Sragow as the lead paralegal handling all real estate matters for the firm from the beginning of the transaction until closing, including but not limited to negotiations with financial institutions and preparing deed packets for title companies. Ms. Sica also worked at Hulse & Wynter, LLC, gaining experience in litigation and probate administration.

Handled over 50 complex short sale and deed in lieu transactions simultaneously while being the liaison for all parties involved including counsel, lenders, title companies, real estate agencies, lienholders, municipal departments, homeowner’s associations, and financial institutions.

Supported title companies with the preparation of thousands of deed packages and closing documents to ensure successful and smooth closings for both buyers and sellers.

Assisted with the representation in litigation proceedings for local restaurants and businesses.
